Hey there, notice that we are affilated with you lot, but no one has really done anything about it in months, which doesn't entirely suprise me, so thought i'd get stuck in.
I am VP/Sec of AUSHAS, and we've had a nicely busy few months since term started in September, with meetings, film showings and quizzes. Best achivement so far is that we raised £160 for AIDS research by holding a pub quiz. We just wanted to show you can do charity without God. We've also managed to formalise our link with the local HSS group, and hope to hold a joint event with them for Darwin Day. So that's our news ![]()

Awesome!
The Edinburgh Uni group have been going for a year and a bit now so if you want any pointers on anything let us know. We have particularly strong connections with the HSS national exec because a number of them sit on the Edinburgh group, who we know quite well. email: humanist.society@ed.ac.uk

Hello Aberdeen!
Welcome to the forums, hope you have fun. I've set up a page on the Secular Wiki for you. We're trying to build up a bank of experience and advice that can be used to give newer or struggling societies a boost. So if you fancy it, you can upload some information about your society, what events you've run and how they went? http://wiki.secularportal.com/wiki/A...ecular_Society You can see some other examples in the main category page: http://wiki.secularportal.com/wiki/C...dent_societies Oh and these days you need to make an account for the Wiki before you can edit. Blame the spambots!
