Dennett, Dawkins and the Launch Party

Dennett is on the 19th of March. The Launch Party is on the 23rd. For 100% nonselfish reasons, I think it would be cool to stay in London over that weekend. I know it's quite a number of days, but if we book accommodation and travel soon, it won't be quite so expensive.

If anyone is up for staying, sightseeing and celebrating, or if you know any good places to stay near Conway Hall (WC1), let's have some posts in this thread.

We use Ashlee House - a relatively cheap hostel on Gray's Inn Road (about 15mins from Conway Hall) and it costs about £14-£18 a night. It is also very close to King's Cross station too for those that travel by train.

We get good group rates there too, so if we want to get a full room (10 or 16) people, or multiples thereof, then we can get it pretty cheap indeed.

Seeing as how the launch is not in march anymore, this is a little unnecessary now isn't it. The facilities are what you would expect for less than £20/night, ie they are adequate but not spectacular.

One of our members stayed at the County recently and got a room for £42 a night, cheaper than the advertised rate. If that's a bit steep, there is the Generator London Hostel not far from here. And the YMCA is only 15 minutes stagger from Conway Hall.
