What events have worked well for everyone?
One of the events that went really well for us recently was Darwin Day. We were outside of the union all day talking to people, handing out leaflets and talking to people. While the talks were not too well attending just being out there and chatting to people seems to be very effective.

We (Warwick Atheists) also did a Darwin Day, we didn't plan it far in advance we just heard about it like a week before. We put on some talks about darwin and Evolution even having some religious people giving their views on how evolution and faith can live side by side. Then we headed to the pub for a bearded social. Good fun.

We in Edinburgh enjoy the presence of an official Edinburgh Creation group. Not to give them a platform, we used Darwin Day celebrations to host a panel discussion entitled "Humanist Ethics for the 21st Century". We had Patrick Harvie (Green MSP), Sue England (Human rights lawyer), June Maxwell (director of the Humanist Academy (that co-sponsored the event), and myself as a Neuroscientist/student leader (I was president then, :D).
Maybe next year we can all coordinate our event. We can discuss it at the Secular Student Conference next month.
